How personal data is processed on this website, transparently, with data minimisation and in line with the GDPR. This is a translation for convenience, the German version is legally binding.

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website and to handle your enquiry. Data is never passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.
Processing
What data is processed and when
Every processing activity has a specific purpose and a stated legal basis.
Server log files
When the website is accessed, technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and operating system is processed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure, fault-free operation).
Contact form and email
Details from the enquiry form, name, company, email, phone and project description, are used to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Project data and CAD files
Part, tooling and CAD data you send is treated confidentially, used only for the respective project and archived or deleted after project completion as agreed.
Hosting
Website hosting, database, file storage and sign-in for the internal area run on Lovable Cloud (technically operated on Supabase infrastructure). Processing takes place on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Storage of enquiries
Form enquiries are stored in a Lovable Cloud database and can only be viewed by the authorised accounts of Vogt Engineering & Consulting. Uploaded files (PDF, STEP, DXF) are kept in a non-public file store and are accessible only through time-limited download links.
No email dispatch service
No external newsletter or email delivery provider is used to handle your enquiry. Replies are sent from our regular mailbox.
Spam protection
To prevent automated submissions we evaluate a hidden form field, a minimum completion time and a limit on submissions per sender. The IP address is stored only as a shortened, non-reversible checksum. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Fonts and external content
Web fonts are loaded for typography, which may transmit your IP address to the provider. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent presentation).
No advertising tracking
No marketing analytics cookies and no profiling are used. Without your consent, no data is processed for advertising purposes.
Your rights
Rights of data subjects
You can contact vogt@engineering-consulting.info at any time, informally, to exercise the following rights:
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure, unless statutory retention obligations apply (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability in a common format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent with future effect (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

Retention
Retention periods and data security
Enquiry data is deleted as soon as its purpose no longer applies and no commercial or tax retention periods stand in the way. Server log files are deleted regularly after a short period.
Transmission is encrypted via TLS. On request, project-related design data can additionally be exchanged through protected channels you provide.
Third countries
Transfers to third countries
Where hosting and data storage involve processing outside the EU/EEA, this takes place on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR or an adequacy decision.
No further disclosure of personal data to third parties takes place unless we are legally obliged to do so.
Obligation
Provision of data and updates
Providing personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without your name, email address and a description of your request we cannot process your enquiry. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
This privacy policy is updated whenever the legal situation or the services used change.
