How we work
How we work, from enquiry to series production
Here is how a die or fixture project runs with us: four clear steps with defined milestones. From the feasibility review to first article approval you talk to the same person.
Process
Four steps from enquiry to released data set
Every step ends with a tangible result you sign off, so the project stays under control at all times.
01
Enquiry & feasibility review
You send part geometry, material, sheet thickness, annual volume and the available press or machine. We assess formability, station count and installation space and give you an honest answer on what works and what does not.
Result: an initial technical assessment of feasibility, effort and timeframe.
02
Concept & layout
Strip layout, station sequence and die or fixture concept including force calculation, material utilisation and standard parts strategy. You receive the concept as a sketch or 3D draft for review.
Result: an agreed concept with strip layout or fixture principle.
03
Design in Creo Parametric
Full 3D design with standard parts, tolerance and hardening concept, stripper plate and pilot layout as well as manufacturable detailing for your tool room or supplier.
Result: a production-ready 3D data set with bill of materials and drawings.
04
Handover & support
Bill of materials, drawing derivation and data sets in the format you need (Creo, STEP, DXF, PDF). On request we support tryout, die corrections and first article approval.
Result: handed-over data, documented decisions and a supported production ramp-up.
Collaboration
What working together looks like
Frictionless data exchange
Design in Creo Parametric, handover additionally as STEP, DXF and PDF. Filing through your system or a secured share, whichever fits your process landscape.
Short review loops
Milestones instead of a black box: short screen-share reviews, direct questions to your production team and documented decisions.
Remote or on site
The design work is location-independent. For tryout, part measurement or process analysis we come to your shop floor when it helps.
Confidentiality as standard
NDA before the first data set, anonymised references and no ties to a particular tool room or supplier.
Preparation
What we need for a reliable assessment
The more complete the information, the more concrete the answer on feasibility, effort and timeframe.
- Part data as STEP, Creo or drawing, a photo or hand sketch is a good starting point too
- Material, sheet thickness and required tolerances
- Annual volume and planned batch sizes
- Available press, press force, shut height and feed equipment
- Target date for die acceptance or start of production
- Specifics such as coatings, cleanliness requirements or inspection features
Expectations
What you can expect from us
- A response to enquiries usually within one to two working days
- An honest feasibility statement, even when it argues against the project
- A transparent effort estimate before the project starts
- Defined milestones instead of a black box until final delivery
- Complete data sets, bills of materials and drawings, no lock-in
- Confidentiality from the first conversation, NDA before the first data set
Frequently asked questions about the process
Describe your part, get a straight answer
Send us the part, the annual volume and your timeframe. We come back with a realistic view on feasibility, tooling concept and effort. No passing through several departments.
